Browser requirements
You can use almost any web browser and any type of computer to view your online albums. We test Phanfare on the latest versions of Firefox and on Safari, Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Explorer 7. Flash Player version 8 is required to view slideshows and videos. Flash Player version 9 is required to view slideshows full-screen.
Network requirements
Although, we know that a handful of customers are using Phanfare on a dial-up connection, we do not test thoroughly on non-broadband connections. Since uploading photos and videos requires significant time and bandwidth, we recommend using Phanfare on a broadband connection (DSL, cable modem, T1, etc.).
Windows requirements
The Phanfare desktop application requires a Windows PC running either Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed or Windows Vista. Windows XP systems prior to SP 2 can easily be updated with the service pack via Windows Update (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com).
Phanfare also requires the Microsoft .NET 3.0 Framework. If you don't have Microsoft .NET 3.0 installed, Phanfare will install it for you. The Phanfare desktop application works best on systems with a 1 GHz processor or faster. We recommend at least 512MB of RAM and 5 GB of free disk space.
Mac requirements
Phanfare requires Mac OS X, version 10.4 (Tiger) or 10.5 (Leopard). Phanfare is a Universal application and will run on both PowerPC and Intel-based Macs.
