Setting featured images

From Doc

Table of contents

Phanfare features at least one image from one of your albums on your table of contents page. By default, Phanfare selects a photo at random to feature every time someone visits your albums.

You can set the featured image options from the Phanfare home page (http://www.phanfare.com) or from the desktop application. However, if you want to select specific images to be featured, you must currently use the desktop application. The selected images will display in random order.

Using the web-browser client

  1. Go to http://www.phanfare.com and sign in if requested.
  2. Click on "Settings" on the header and then click on Shared Album Settings under Presentation Options.
  3. Select "Randomly pick images" or "Random from within the current year" under Featured Images.
  4. Click "Save".

Using the desktop application

  1. Launch the desktop application
  2. Click on the "Presentation Options" button.
  3. Next to "Featured Images," choose "Randomly pick images," "Random from within current year," or "Use selected images."
  4. Click "Save".

Note: If you choose "Use selected images," you must designate which images you want to use as featured images from the desktop application.

Designating featured images

  1. Right click (or Ctrl+click if you're on a Mac) on an image that you want to use as a featured image.
  2. Select "Show in Table of Contents," then choose "As Large Image" to designate the image as a featured image.

Note: You can also designate images to show up as album and section thumbnails by choosing "Next to Album" or "Next to Section" respectively.
