You can select from over 70 different backgrounds for your Phanfare albums.

In addition to being able to add custom styles, you can also add a custom header and/or footer to your site. Headers will appear above your site title. More on custom headers/footers.

Changing via Web-browser client

Selecting the Style for a Specific Album

  1. Go to your Phanfare home page (http://www.phanfare.com).
  2. Click on "Edit Albums" on the left
  3. Select the album you would like to edit by clicking on it in the album list.
  4. Click on "Style".
  5. Change the radio button at the top under "Use the shared site style:" to "Use the selected style:". Select the style for the album.
  6. Click "Save" to update your style.

Selecting the Master Style

You can change your master style for your table of contents page, which will also change the default style for all new albums.

  1. Go to your Phanfare home page (http://www.phanfare.com).
  2. Click on "Edit Albums"
  3. Click on "Change Site Style"
  4. Select the style you would to like to set as the default style for all new albums.
  5. Click "Save" to update your style.

Using the Windows Desktop Application

Selecting the Style for a Specific Album

  1. Select the album by clicking on it in the album list.
  2. Click on the "Style" button underneath the album thumbnails.
    • Note: You can also access the style chooser by right clicking on the album and selecting Album Options, then the "Click to Change Style" button, or by clicking on the "Album Options and Sharing" button and then the "Click to Change Style" button.
  3. Change the radio button at the top under "Select a style for this album:" to "Use the style I select below". This will activate the style chooser. You have the ability to browse by category or search by title. To enlarge the preview, use the "Preview Size" tool to zoom in or out on a style.
  4. Click "save" to update your style.

Selecting the Master Style

You can change your master style for your table of contents page, which will also change the default style for all new albums.

  1. Click on the "Style" button underneath the album thumbnails.
    • Note: You can also access the style chooser by right clicking on the album and selecting Album Options, then the "Click to Change Style" button, or by clicking on the "Album Options and Sharing" button and then the "Click to Change Style" button.
  2. Click on the "Change Master Style" button on the lower left. You have the ability to browse by category or search by title. To enlarge the preview, use the "Preview Size" tool to zoom in or out on a style.
  3. Click "save" to update your master style.

  2. Under Style, click on the "Choose" button.
  3. This will activate the style chooser. You have the ability to browse by category or search by title. To enlarge the preview, use the "Preview Size" tool to zoom in or out on a style.
  4. Click "OK" to update your master style.

FAQ

Q: Can I customize a style by changing the colors/font/layout, etc.?
A: You currently cannot create a custom style or change any of the attributes of a style, including font, backgrounds and colors.

Q: Can I remove the Phanfare header that appears at the top of my shared albums?
A: No, you cannot make any changes or remove the header from your shared albums.
