Phanfare Support Site
Requesting an API Key
From Doc
This page is for Software Developers desiring to extend Phanfare
If you want to write extensions for Phanfare against our Application Programming Interface (API), you must request as API key from Phanfare.
API keys are used at the application level. If you are a developer looking to write a software against the Phanfare API you must request an API key for each application that you create.
The following rules apply to use of the Phanfare API key:
- Any use of the Phanfare service that violates our Terms of Service (http://www.phanfare.com/page/tos.html) will result in revoking of the key.
- Phanfare reserves the right to revoke any key that is used maliciously, to execute denial of service attacks, or deliberately tries to circumvent our security mechanisms.
- Phanfare keys are not for commerical use unless you get our express permission. That means, for example, that writing a plugin that creates an advertising network using media served by Phanfare, would be in violation.
- You may not use the Phanfare API key to create an application or plugin that attempts to replicate or replace the essense of the Phanfare experience.
- We sincerely appreciate the community interest in extending Phanfare and will provide some help using our API, within reason. We decide where reason ends. Please do not call customer support or email support@phanfare.com for API-related questions. You may write to developer@phanfare.com or use the appropriate forums (http://forums.phanfare.com)
- Your use of the Phanfare API is at our discretion and we may revoke the key for any reason if we deem it necessary.
- You do not need to have a Phanfare account to request or use a Phanfare API key. If you don't have a Phanfare account, you can signup for a free account by clicking here (http://beta.phanfare.com).
You may write to the following address to request a API key: developer@phanfare.com
Please include your name, company (if applicable), phone number, and your intended use of the key.
