Phanfare offers beautiful 12x12 and 8x8 photo books. Visit the Phanfare shop (http://www.phanfare.com/shop/) to get started. You can create a book in 3 easy steps. Click any screenshot below to enlarge it for a closer view.
1. Select book type and add images
Once you have chosen to start a photo book, select the albums that contain the images you want to use in the book and hit continue.
- Choose between a 12x12 and 8x8 photo book.
- In the Quantity field in the lower-left, enter the number of copies of the book that you you would like to order.
- Click Next Step
Adding Images to your book
When you click Next Step, you will be taken to the photo selection page where you will choose the images that you would like to use in the book.
A standard 20-page book must contain between 30 and 68 photos. You cannot continue until you have selected at least 30 images. Depending on the layout you choose in the following step, your book may contain more than 20 pages.
- The bar at the top of the Choose Your Photos page shows you if you have enough images.
- If your book will be comprised of images from multiple albums, you will start adding photos by selecting one of the albums list at the bottom of the page. Use the Select Another Album button to move between albums.
- To add photos to the book, click on thumbnail at the bottom of the page.
- You will need to designate one photo as the cover image by dragging in to the Cover area on the left side of the screen
- Some images may be an exclamation point on their thumbnails. This indicates that the image may be too low resolution to print well in the book.
- Note: Your photos will be placed in the book in the order that they appear in the 'My Photo Selection' selection. To change the order, simply drag & drop the photo into a new position.
2. Choose theme for your book
You can choose from several different looks for your book on the Select A Theme page. The themes are separated into categories at the bottom of the page. Placeholders appear where your images will go.
- Select a photo book layout.
- Economical mode will fit all of the images into the book in the fewest possible pages.
- Design mode will show as much variety as possible in the page layouts.
- Click on the category and then choose a theme. The preview in the center of the page updates automatically.
- Preview the various pages in the book using the Previous and Next buttons and page selection drop-down menu.
3. Customize your book
The Book Creator has two editing modes, Quick Customization and Advanced Customization.
- Quick Customization, you can modify page style, and edit text and photos.
- Advanced Customization, you can add, modify, and remove photos, text, clipart, page backgrounds, the borders around photos and text. Click the Customize Button at the bottom of the screen to enter the Advanced Customization mode.
