Print Quality

Phanfare delivers archive quality prints of your digital photos, which should last as long, if not longer, than the prints you would receive from a traditional professional photo-processing laboratory. We develop our prints with the same silver halide process used by 35mm photo labs. In addition, we use Kodak Perfect Touch Technology, a patent-pending system for analysis and processing of each image needing correction to give you more vibrant colors and fewer darker shadows. We print your photos on Kodak Royal Gold paper, Kodak’s highest quality available. We offer a choice of either glossy or matte finish paper.

Print Resolution
To help prevent quality problems, we display a "low resolution" warning next to print sizes not recommended for the image you've selected. For these, you should consider ordering a smaller print size. See minimum resolution requirements.

Fullsize Image Requirement
When selecting images, if you see a message above some of the thumbnails that reads "Cannot be printed yet" this means that Phanfare has not received the fullsize high resolution original and is unable to print this image at the current time. The reason for this error is that the PC or Mac desktop application was closed or disconnected before all of the fullsize originals were uploaded. If the album owner resumes the PC desktop application and completes the upload, the images will become available for printing. This is not an issue when uploading via the Phanfare web-browser client as the high resolution files are received when the upload complete message appears.

Film Processing
We do not offer traditional film processing at this time. If you want to share your photos online, take your traditional film to your local retailer for processing and request a CD. You can then upload your photos to Phanfare and automatically share them with friends and family.

Shipping

The total amount of shipping and handling charges is dependent on the number of prints ordered. You will see the cost for your various shipping options after entering your address during the checkout process. You will see these shipping options and costs before you have to enter your credit card information. Payment information does not need to be entered until after the full total of the order including shipping and handling costs is determined. See merchandise processing for more information

Product Guarantee

At Phanfare, your complete satisfaction is our number one priority. Phanfare guarantees the quality of every print we produce and ship to you. If you are not completely satisfied with the quality of your merchandise order, please contact us within 30 days from the date your order is shipped, and we will either send you a replacement or issue a refund for the products in question. The following are important exceptions to our customer satisfaction guarantee, which are beyond our control:

  • Poor quality resulting from the use of low-resolution or poor quality images. A warning symbol will appear if you select a low resolution image; at that point, you may continue to use the image, but at your own risk.
  • Errors in user-customizable features. Phanfare does not and will not guarantee prints or products caused by user-customizable features, including, but not limited to, enhancements, choice of finish (where offered), cropping, border selection, size (where available) and formatting.
  • Errors in spelling, punctuation, or accuracy in the text entered by the customer. For products that accept text, please preview any custom text thoroughly and carefully, and correct any mistakes prior to placing your order. Phanfare does not and will not proofread or correct any such mistake.

Refunds and Returns
Your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are unhappy with any photo product sold by Phanfare, please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order and give us a detailed description of the problem. Phanfare will refund your purchase price plus shipping or issue you a merchandise credit so you can reorder the item(s) at no cost, your choice. We can not resubmit or recreate orders. We may on occasion request that you either scan the item in question so we can see the damage or problem with quality or send it back to us for quality review.

If you subscribe to Phanfare’s premium service and are for any reason dissatisfied, we will refund your entire annual subscription fee within the first 90 days. After 90 days, you can request a pro-rated refund of your membership fee.

If you purchase a photo product from Phanfare and Phanfare lowers the price of the same product within two weeks of your purchase you are eligible for a store credit (price-protection credit) for the difference between what you paid and the current selling price.

You must contact Phanfare to receive a price-protection credit. The price-protection credit is good on any purchase of Phanfare goods or services from 60 days from the time of the original purchase.

Changing or Canceling an Order

Due to the highly-automated nature of our system, it is not possible to change an order once it is placed.
