To manage your privacy and email notifications:
- Go to your Phanfare home page (http://www.phanfare.com).
- Go to Settings.
- Click the "Manage privacy and email notifications" link under Personal Information.
Your Privacy Options
When you connect with someone as a friend, family or group member, your name is then listed on their profile. If the person is not connected to you already, they can send you an invitation to connect, but your email address is never displayed to them. You have have the option to choose whether your hometown or photo (if you've put them in your profile) are included as well in the listing. Uncheck the boxes if you do not want them listed.
In addition, you can opt not to have news items related to you connecting to other friends, family, or groups appear in the Messages area of the Phanfare home page for those you are connected to. For example, you connect to Aunt Mary as family. Later, you connect to Aunt Sue. By default, if Aunt Mary looked at the messages area of her Phanfare home page news feed, she would see that you and Aunt Sue are now connected as family, too. If you want to make it so that your connections with others don't appear in the news feed, uncheck the two boxes here.
Your Email Notification Options
There are three different types of email notifications you can opt-out of:
- Status Updates: This includes when a Phanfare member invites you to connect with them, accepts your invitation to connect, or comments on one of your albums.
- Content Notifications from your Friends/Family/Groups: You would receive these when people you are already connected to add new photos or videos to their albums.
- Special Offers and Information Emails (Newsletters from Phanfare CEO, Special Promotions for prints and gifts, helpful information on using Phanfare)
Note, that if you turn off status updates and content notifications, you are turning them off globally and not for any specific person. If you want to stop receiving invitations or content notifications from a specific person but want to continue to receive them from others, you will need to remove your connection to the person.
Even if you opt out of all emails, Phanfare may still need to send you email regarding the specific status of your account or a merchandise order.
