If you want to invite someone to view a specific album without inviting them to connect with you as a family, friend or group member, you can create an external link to that specific album and then email the link to them directly or post it somewhere for them to see. The link will not require the visitor to have a Phanfare login or password to view the album, and visitors will not be able to see your other shared albums unless they already have a Phanfare account and are connected to you. Keep in mind that any visits to this album are not tracked and will not be included in your visitor reporting. You can also use the "share album" functionality to create a personal message to send along with an external link to the album, from within the Phanfare sharing system.

Using Web-browser client

1. Go to http://www.phanfare.com and login if requested.
2. Click Edit Albums on left.
3. Select the album you wish to create an isolated link for.
4. Click on "Link to Album" on the lower left. A window will appear containing the link.
5. To copy and paste the link, highlight the link and enter CTRL + C (Windows) or Command + C (Mac) to copy the link.
6. To paste the link in the desired location, enter CTRL + V (Windows) or Command + V (Mac) to paste.

Note that you can set the album as private, so the album will not be accessible to any of your friends, family, or groups, but can still be viewed via the external link.

Using the Windows desktop application

1. Right click the album you want to link to.
2. Choose external link:
3. You will be presented with two options:
   • Copy to Clipboard: Copies the isolated link to the clipboard for you to paste into an e-mail or other document.
   • Close: Cancels the action.

Note that you can set the album as private, so the album will not be accessible to any of your friends, family, or groups, but can still be viewed via the external link.
