As a Phanfare Merchant you earn money on the prints and gifts purchased from photos in your Phanfare account.

How do I get started?
To sell merchandise through Phanfare you need to be a Phanfare Pro member and complete the online W-9 form (http://www.phanfare.com/commerce/taxinfo.aspx).
How do I set merchandise prices?
Prices can be set on every type of merchandise that Phanfare sells. To make this as easy as possible we allow you to set the selling price, the margin, or the profit you would like to earn. This can be done from the pricing page (http://www.phanfare.com/commerce/pricing.aspx).
How should I setup my album security?
Phanfare has two album security settings that are important to being a merchant. One is 'Viewers can order prints and gifts' and the other is 'Viewers can download hi-res originals'. Both of these can be changed on an album by album basis by clicking 'album options' when editing an album. The default for new albums can be set on the site properties page (http://www.phanfare.com/prefpres.aspx).
As a professional photographer looking to lock down your photos and earn money through merchandise sales, you will want to turn on 'prints and gifts' and turn off 'download hi-res originals'. If there are certain albums you want on the web for display only, you can disable both options.
You can also set an optional watermark and turn it on in your album properties.
Note: If you disable 'download hi-res originals', the customer can not order an archive DVD.
How much money do I make?
You will earn 85% of the markup (the difference between Phanfare's price and your price).
Example: 4x6 prints are 16 cents at Phanfare. You decide to charge 1 dollar for 4x6 prints. You will earn a 71 cent profit per 4x6 print sold.
(1.00 - 0.16) * 0.85 = $0.71
When do I get paid?
Phanfare will mail checks by the 8th of every month, if you have a balance above $500. If you have a balance below $500, you can request a check from the merchant history page (http://www.phanfare.com/commerce/ledger.aspx).
How do I test my prices?
If you are logged in to Phanfare when purchasing merchandise you will receive the Phanfare price. You don't have to pay the marked up price for your own stuff! To test your prices make sure you have signed out of Phanfare first.
