Accepted file types

Phanfare Photo currently supports the following image formats up to 20MB in size:

• jpg
• gif
• psd (single layer 8 bit/channel RGB mode, 3 or 4 channel images only)
• tiff
• bmp
• png
  
  

For videos, we currently support formats listed below. Individual videos must be less than 10 minutes in length (must also be under 2GB in size) and in a non-interlaced (progressive scan) format.

• avi
• mpg
• mov
• wmv
• .mp4 or .m4v
  

Note: Phanfare does accept 3gp and 3gpp files, but upon conversion to Flash by our system, this video type often loses audio or has audio problems so we recommend converting to one of the formats listed above prior to import. Read more on converting these files.

Currently, we do not support the following formats:

• Document files such as .pdf, .doc, .xls, etc.
• RAW image files
• Flash video files
• avchd files or any type of interlaced video
